First Czechoslovakia were occupied by the USSR for 20 years from 1968, not 40 years. Communists in Czechoslovakia won elections and in 1948 they made “people’s democratic” system, it is the reason why we were in eastern Block, not russian occupation is reason. Second, our culture is central european, not west european (We’ve got nothing so common with the Great Britain, France, Belgium, Ireland), just with Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, etc.

Czech republic Was in the past Czechoslovakia and after separated from Slovak part we ARE CZech republic we have 3 parts: ČECHY, MORAVA, SLEZSKO!!!! ( Bohemia, Moravia, Silésia) a WE are not EAST EUROPE, we are part of WEST EUROPE. But we are post comunism country because of SSSR (now RUSSIA)b was occupy our country for long 40 Years! And before the Hitler period we where many times richer than GERMANY. If you have some questions about my country, just ask…. Lets come to Enjoy Czech republic.
