Baikalsk Icy Sauna

This is about third time Ice Blocks appear in Russian icy town Baikalsk that is not that far away from Irkutsk town which is on the southern bank of famous Russian Baikal Lake. As you can see winters are pretty much long and harsh here so it’s a perfect place to build object made from ice because it will stand there for a long time without melting away. It’s hard to comprehend how ice walls and 120 Celsius of sauna function together but it’s manageable to do it. You see, water-boiling temperature is divided from freezing ice only with a 1 inch thick partition and that is all it takes for a ice sauna to function without melting down. Story via Atcrux
