Probablly the most tipical slovak dish is Brindzové halušky – Potato dumplings with bryndza sheep cheese and bacon.
The bryndza cheese itself is very delicious and healthy. The traditional type of Bryndza Cheese is salty, sharp, grayish, pin-rolled, grated and crumbly, semi-spreadable and 100% made of sheep's milk. The texture and taste of the sheep, goat, or cows cheese doesnt share any close equivalence with each other. The cheese is the mild, bleached and creamy white cheese which is mostly available in the commercial market. This is available in three varieties and two varieties out of these three may contain about 49% of cow's milk cheese, is legally admitted.
