In Croatia we have two branches of food, mediteranean one and balkan/central Euro heavy food…thought neither are distinctively Croatian or Slavic….

Dalmatia and Istria – light mediteranean food as fishes and salads

Gorski kotar and Lika – Lamb, sausages etc

Slavonia and Zagreb and Zagorje – Heavy foods (including bosnian ćevapi and such stuff)
