Another variation of the recipe is to use nettle/Krapiva/pokrzywa instead of sorrel. I reаd about people using nettle in cooking but I never tried it.  ;D  As funny as it may look Sorrel is used in soup making. I don't think it's any worse than spinach. :)
I won't eat nettle even if someone would told me how it's prepared (in details) and why it isn't dangerous at all.

Boiled water kills the stings.  ;)
Anyway, it tastes basically like wet, slimy, spicy spinach, i.e. not very good.  ;D
