@NikeBG In Serbia people do drink wine on St. Trifun’s day. There are event’s in bar’s and clubs, people who own vineyards also go there, to do some symbolic work and drink. St. George is pretty popular slava, there are many roasted pigs and lambs then, but there’s no such tradition about eating lambs on that date.
On topic, carp is pretty popular here and it’s eaten a lot during fasting. I don’t know a lot of people who fast all 40 days, but pretty much everybody does on Christmas Eve and St. Nicholas, if it’s their slava. On Christmas Eve, the last day of fasting, there are usually some carp, but I wouldn’t say it’s traditional. Of course, I’m speaking about orthodoxy and Christmas Eve on 6.1.
