North

Belarusian – poŭnač
Ukrainian – pivnich
Polish – północ

South

Belarusian – poŭdzień
Ukrainian – pivdenʹ
Polish – południe

Russian had similar terms for south and north in the past. Modern day standard Russian ‘Sever’ and ‘Yug’ maybe OCS influence.

Belarusian language has an archaic term ‘Siver’. Back in the days it meant  cold northerly wind.
