Well I can understand you, it's not hard to understand when many words are familiar to me but I wouln't know how to speak single word.

Well, if you want to learn properly russian language, than you have to take some course or buy a self-leerning book, or find a russin girl, I think :))
Ako li hočeš naučiti sebie dobro ruskij jazyk, jest ti potrebno/moraš iti na niejakij jazykovij kurs, ili kupiti sebie učebnu knigu, bo poiskati/potražiti ženu iz rusiji , tako myslim :))

I read in the book, we have 12 standard modern slavic languages. Between those 12 languages are 1200 words that are mutualy understandable in all of them.  It is not much but in opposite way not a few. If you take just one language out, it is going somewhere to 2000 words. If the somebody learn those 1200 words, he can understand and to be understood on the basic level on those languages.
Čital jesm v niejakoj knigie že imajeme 12 standartnih modernih slovienskih jazykov. Imajeme 1200 slov, koji sut dobro razumieny v vsih tutih jazykah. To ne jest mnogo, no takože ne jest malo. Ako-li otstaviš samo jedin jazyk, imaješ 2000 slov.  Človiek nauči sebe tih 1200 slov i može dobro razumieti na osnovnom levelu drugim slovienskim jazykam.
