@kudkudyak I wrote early Slavs rarely used semi-sunken huts made of mud. Of course, the most common type was semi-sunken huts made of wood. The pictures of semi-sunken hut looks it was made from mud. Of course, technology evolved over time. In later years most houses in Ukraine were entirely build from mud with straw roof. Belarus, most of Russia and possibly Poland continued building wooden houses. Although, they were not semi-sunken.
