In toponomy they stand in oposition. So you have a fight there.
As for folklore examples; here are some:
Croats of kajkavian dialect and Slovenes believe that every thunder that hits the ground turns into a stone arrow and can be found. In older times people have often found such arrows, though these were probably leftovers from the stone age and some fossils, unless of course you choose to believe otherwise . Perun was trying to hit Veles with such an arrow (thunder).
In Macedonia there is a folk story about this though it has somewhat changed.
