This isn’t to say that other Slavic countries are “less Slavic”, or whatever. Slavic nation is Slavic nation. Period.
Hmmm i think that problem is something else actually…
We have Catholic Slavs:
Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Sorbs
and we have Orthodox Slavs:
Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia
what i think is, that since many in western Europe are Christian Catholics they tend to view Catholic Slavs as something similar to them in sense of architecture and things that Catholicism brings with it…while the Orthodoxism is non-existent in western & northern Europe thus to foreigners it looks as something that only exists among Slavs thus they see Orthodox countries as more Slavic culturally?
