Now, I’m not much of a fan of rakia myself, so I’ll let aaaaa give his expert opinion, but from the relatively cheap ones I seem to like the Кайлъшка the most so far (though I’m certainly open to better recommendations). Of course, we should also note that in Bulgaria we mostly prefer grape-made rakia (grozdova), with slivova (plums) and kaysieva (apricots) coming after that. Oh, and we also have such specialities like rose-made one (gyulova), but I haven’t tried it so far (it’s somewhat expensive and I’m rather skeptical about it)…
