The Nazi ideal was a hard working peasant, wasn't it?  That was more common in the Slavic countries than in Germany.  The capital of the Nazi regime was Berlin and in the 1920s, that was essentially one of the few European cities with gay and transvestite clubs.  Berlin was also known in the 1920s, because of the hyperinflation and weak currency, for sex tourism within America and Britain.

It's safe to say that the National Socialists idolized traits which, no doubt, came from suppressed Carantanian, Polab and Sorb culture in Austria / Eastern Germany.  The mistake, was assuming these were Germanic traits (when they were Slavic) and assumed an equal potential for these traits were possible in ordinary Germans, Englishmen, et al.
