Nonetheless Sibiryak, just because the Rus Slavs adopted the Turkish or Tatar way of life while living in the border regions, thus becoming Cossacks, doesn't mean that they are Turks.

As I said before, I'm not trying to prove that every cossack = turk, published pictures speak only of cultural borrowing, there were a lot of pure Slavic people in their movement in the 19th and early 20th centuries. But we also can not deny the significant Turkic and North Caucasian genofund among Cossacks, and equating the Cossacks with their culture to the Slavs would be a big mistake.
