Yes, that's key. I old imperial mindset needs to be gotten rid of. The basic answer to this is a Slavic Confederation. It will draw example from previous powerful Slavic-run states, such as the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and maybe even some from the USSR (mainly on the military defense front here), but no one state should dominate. Simply a new region with a good work force and resources needs to be cultivated. We have the work force (Slavs are the biggest meta-ethnicty in Europe) and now we just need to secure and develop our own resources.
