Of course not, every person or family knows it's own genealogy, I am presenting the Serb one, cause it is the one I know the most about. Croats had their own clans, that were exiled and become extinct under the Hungarian and later the Turkish rule; Čudomirići, Gusići, Jamometići, Kačići, Karinjani and Lapčani, Kukari (Klьkarь), Lasničići (Lačničići), Mogorovići, Polečići (Poletčići), Snačići (Svačići), Šubići knezovi Bribirski, Tugomirići.

I do not know how much Croats bear ancestry from the old Croat clans, and how much were assimilated from other ethnicities (Hungarian, Serb, Italian, German, Slovenian etc.) in the course of the time, I believe every Croat family knows that for themselves.
