@Sviatogor, back then there was no such thing as “Ukrainian” or “Belarusian”, but rather we were both known as Rusyns. Ukrainians and Belarusians are both descendants of the “Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Rus’ and Samogita”. Interestingly, Rusyns made up the majority of the Lithuanian state and the Rusyn language was used in official documents and so on. Even Judicial traditions of the Rus’ was preserved in the state traditions of Lithuania.
