Yes, the name “Srbija” familiarized among people with time, it originated from the Greek and Latin literary languages. It appeared as a pure literary word as early as the 13th century. The rulers’ signatures however ended with “srpske zemlje” (“Serbian lands”), even though the very state was not called “Srbija”, but, as stated above, simply “zemlja” (“land”). The rulers also had various titles depicting the regions of the Serbian realm over which they reigned, starting mostly with; King of Serbs of Rascia, Doclea, Bosnia etc.
