If you read more carefully about this you would know that Russians gave all those privileges to the Grand Duchy of Finland because they planned their own Russification of Finland, beggining in 1900. Of course they failed miserably. You are right that the Russian Empire in the end helped Finnish independence but it was not a gesture of selfless love, they had their own plans. The autonomy of the Grand Duchy was a contrast to the unitiy of the Russian empire.

Finns had little reason to rebel to Swedish rule, Sweden was, regarding the Political system very similar to Finland. It was Russia that was completely alien, being an absolute monarchy and also a feudalist society (Abolishing serfdom in 1861!). Sweden, on the other hand, was a constitutional monarchy since the 18th century.
