@ GaiusCoriolanus Those were the Bolsheviks that Poland fought in 1919-1921. Poland did not fight for independence. Poland fought to occupy western Belarus, western Ukraine, south-eastern Lithuania occupying those countries between 1921 and 1939. If Bolsheviks presentded Ukraine and Belarus some autonomies in forms of republics, then Poland was building a unitarian state closing Ukrainian, Belarusian, Lithuanian schools, universities, cultural centres including Orthodox churches. This resulted in ethnic tensions between Poles and Ukrainians in western Ukraine eventuating in Volyn tragedy in the 40s. Poland also annexed territories from Czechoslovakia in 30s.
Poland was not all that innecent itself.
