I want to know more about medieval Swedish tax system. So i see free man meant something different here. For example Svobodnjak was farmer with no taxes at all. However they were slowly losing this position. Thanks to Theresian reforms this class went extinct. I guess Swedish farmers were free in a sence that they could move to any county?

Well I really don't know much about this, Dalibor seems to be the most knowledgeable regarding this topic. As far as I understood the decree of Magnus posted above exempted ONLY higher nobility from taxes, I don't know if the same applied to peasants. The farmers were free because they were not owned by anyone, like for example serfs; id est the land they worked was also owned by them. I had no idea though the Svobodnjaks didn't have to pay taxes, most interesting.
