Yes that is right. On other hand Jews were strongly oposed on any atempt of syncretism (Prophet Elijah, Ezra and later Macebeans), they were simply monotheists. We must not forgot that even that religion about we discus was Semitic. Mesopotamian culture was essentialy blend of Semitic Akadians and Sumerians.
