@Dušan We don’t have the э (or the ы for that matter, although I have both of them on my keyboard for some reason) – that’s Russian.

@Sviatogor Nah, we have quite more differences. F.e. we (and the Macedonians) have full definite articles, which other Slavs don’t (f.e. zhena=woman, zhenata=the woman). I’m sure there are more. I’ve even heard some people claiming that while our lexis is mostly Slavic, our grammar is closer to Iranic. Then again, those same people are usually not very trustworthy, so… In any case, our grammar has changed a lot from the times of Old Bulgarian (OCS) – I’d even say that modern Russian is closer to Old Bulgarian than Modern Bulgarian is.
