Prelja, Slavs had fully developed monarchies before Christianity. Throne was passed from Father to son. I know about Polish principle of agnatic seniorate but it was exception.

There was not such an expression or a rule as 'monarchy', 'throne' or 'passing a rulership from father to son' among ancient Slavs. Everyone 'gospodar' of community who broke a rule was simply dismissed by the votes of the rest of community. That is how ‘kopne prawo’ worked.
