My favorites:
1. The Master and Margarita, of course.
2. "Evenings on a Farm Near Dykanka" (Вечера на хуторе близ Диканьки) is a collection of short stories by Nikolai Gogol. Fairy tales about life in Slavic Village, 18th century. Flying witches, werewolves, etc. )))
3. Some well-known books of Dostoevsky (as "Crime and Punishment", "The Idiot", etc.). And especially "A Gentle Creature" ("The Meek One" "Кроткая") this is a very sad story about a young girl.
… And I like very much Slavic fairy tales of different nations  ♥
