I’ve read all the responses to this question, and I can’t think of much to add. I’m proud, then, that my feelings are shared by a spirit of unity and brotherhood by many Slavs all across the globe.

And I’m proud that we aren’t selling our culture and traditions like so many western European nations. I’m proud that we (though never liked by other cultures) are still so defiant, and are still the largest ethnic group in Europe. I’m proud that if our nations unified, we would conquer all, as we did many hundreds of years ago. I guess the only thing I’m not proud of is that this is not so. And the less pride other Slavs have in their heritage, the more I have. Perhaps to make up for a lack of theirs, or perhaps it is the defiant trait we all seem to have.
