@anna25 Homemade rakija is most valued one, of course if made properly. Brlja is used for bad rakija, more often for industrial one. Homemade rakija is called brlja in two cases: as a joke, sorts of affectionately or if too much sugar was added to fruit before destilation too make it richer in sugar and therefore alcohol. The latter one is also one of the biggest insults you can say to a man who makes rakija. Just don’t say someone’s rakija is out of sugar.
