I never met a Belarusian person in USA or anyone claiming Belarusian ancestry. I only see Ukrainian and Polish cultural centers, villages, etc. in the Midwest. There is a large Serbian community in my state since the 90s war. I guess not too many Belarusians immigrated to the USA? Or maybe they were just categorized as Russians? On USA census forms, my ancestors were categorized by whichever country held administrative power over their lands. So, sometimes my ancestors were listed as “Russian” and sometimes as “Polish.” They were neither as they were in modern terms “Ukrainian.”
