Some of my closest friends are Lithuanians and they definitely dislike the Russians far more than the Poles. I’d say they probably view Poland as we in Bulgaria view, say, Byzantium – some bad blood between us (Polish occupation of Vilnius, I guess), but it’s all in the past now. Whereas Russia would be akin to Turkey for us – main antagonist №1 (which doesn’t exclude good relations on a personal level, of course). And Belarus for them seems rather meh – they’ve been in the same state for centuries, but there still are differences. Not bad though.
On topic – I understand surprisingly little from those lyrics. I probably understand it as much as if it was in Polish, if not even less (which is indeed quite surprising for me, as Polish is supposedly the farthest of all Slavic languages in relation to mine).
