@Sviatogor It’s relatively easy to make your own. No special yeast requred, all spontaneous fermentation. Yes, I believe the reason for the Vodka/Rakia divide is the availability of the substrate. There’s nothing special about the distillation process.

@Dushan that’s red wine territory. Rakia works too, but wine is better. It’s not called “svinsko i vinsko” for nothing. My encounters with serbian red wines, I am sorry to say have been largely disappointing, which is a shame, as the “svinsko” part is pretty decent.
