Pff, that’s nothing – between 1989 and 2011 (22 years) Bulgaria lost 1,700,000 people (from 9mln. to 7.3mln), without any wars whatsoever. Though, yeah, they went to Germany too (and Italy, Spain etc). In any case, are there any Slavic countries whose population isn’t shrinking? Poland and/or Russia, maybe? Though for Russia I wonder if there’s data specifically about the Slavic parts of the country…
