South Čakavian is closer to west Štokavian, and north Čakavian is closer to Kajkavian and Slovene… There are some so-called Old Štokavian dialects in western Slavonia (Cro) which resemble certain Kajkavian dialects.
The Standard Croatian is based on south-eastern Štokavian dialects, so it's much closer to Bosnian and Serbian…

What you said about čakavian is true. My grandma speaks north čakavian and it's really similar to kajkavian, except for the ikavian speech, but other than that it is really similar.
But what you said about standard Croatian, it's nowhere near truth. Standard Croatian is based on west Štokavian dialects and most people speak west štokavian.
