This is not referring to their ethnicity and political affiliation, but only church affiliation.
It is convenient to work out that all Orthodox Serbs proclaimed.

nope, as  I said earlier, Croats do not identify themselves as Latins, nor do Bosniaks and Albanians identify as Turks.
Bulgarians, Macedonians, Greeks and Romanians certanly do not call themselves-Serbs.
That is why your explanation fails big time. Serbs are not Jews so that we can equalize religion and ethnicity.

I am agnostic btw, that would make me non-Serb by religion, lol
