This isn’t true for Croatian. I mean we have a whole region called Slavonia and people from there are very proud. We also make a point to make our official language more Slavic ( for example we are one of the few Slavic nations that still officially use Slavic names for months.) I think you’re confusing Yugoslavian with Slavic which we do not think are the same thing. Now I know you’re going to probably say some Croats stressed a Goth or non Slavic origin of Croats in the past but those ideas are pretty much dead and supported by few. We proudly acknowledge our Slavic past ( Bijela Hrvatska) , present , and future but we do not like the idea of being political Yugoslavians ( well some do but most don’t).
