If an apology wasn't an important matter, it would never have to be made or received by anyone, because it would mean nothing.

Don't be naive. When the Aboriginals got their apology from the white Aussies, it was a very big deal, and in fact, a historic moment in Australian history.

The political arena is one place where words are *very* important and carry a lot of weight. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. Or trolling.
