In Bulgaria, it’s traditional to prepare a kozunak for Easter (besides the eggs, of course). There are various recipes (here’s a link to one, for example), but it’s generally somewhat difficult to prepare, as it requires a lot of kneading of the dough (which is rather tiresome, especially for us modern folk), so nowadays most people just buy it from the shops or bakeries.

Of course, the connoisseurs don’t really like the bought ones, as they usually have the same consistency as bread, while the true, home-made kozunak should be “on strings”.
