European Geography should be easier to remember than American Geography.  A lot of the Midwest States are all squares and rectangles. .  Whereas – practically every European country has an unique shape on the map.

There's only 47 countries in Europe and everyone should be able to list everyone with exception of the micro states (like San Marino and Andorra).
