I’ve wanted to try medovina (mead) for years now. I haven’t seen it sold in any shops here though (then again, I haven’t visited the specialised liquor stores, so maybe they’d have it?). After all, medovina is the stereotypical ancient Slavic (and Germanic) drink. Olovina (ale) was also somewhat popular here during the Middle Ages, though nothing as much as mead, I’d presume (high-quality beeswax was medieval Bulgaria’s best export product, so there was surely enough honey for drinking as well).
