Interesting, again “dast” seems foreign, we would say “da-vai”- give it, or “da-vai mene” – give it to me,  or “ke davam” – to give, “ke davam tebe” – to give to you.  Again, I’m writing this phonetically, I might be writing it slightly incorrect.  “Shtat” seems foreign, I’d ask my grandparents if they knew that word, but they aren’t with us anymore.

Tell me, do Bulgarians understand “sakam”/”sakash?” – “want”, “do you want?  I understand you would normally say “iskam”, but is “sakam” understood in Bulgaria?  As I’ve heard/seen “sakam” used in some Bulgarian folk music.
