Oats kisel (jelly like drink) was cooked back in the days. The drink is 200-300 years old or older.

Short recipe

Take some oats and grind it into flour. Pour warm water into flour ( 1litre for 100-150gm). Put the mixture in a warm place to ferment in the course of 24 hours. Pour fermented mixture through a seive removing any residue. Boil the water on a low heat until it becomes jelly like substance. Add some honey into kisel. Put kisel in a cool until it into jelly completely.

Oats kisel with a bit of honey taste well. It’s also a healthy drink best eatern with uzvar (concentrated drink from dried fruits /compote).
