yes, that might be truth, but these loanwords probably are more modern words (if you have a link to that dissertation, please share. It probably depends on which period of Lithuanian history it was written :)
Still, Baltic languages (Lithuanian and Latvian) considered as most archaic Indo-European languages, retaining many features of Proto-Indo-European. Even the grammar is similar to Sanskrit.
