@GaiusCoriolanus that abbreviation is used intentionally, because of that meaning, ZBiR (Związek Białorusi i Rosji) in English it would be USRB probably (Union State of Russia and Belarus) or URB (Union).
In Serbian zbir means sum and žbir is rarely used for spy.
Funny thing, there were politicians in FR Yugoslavia who wanted to become part of this union in the 90s, during the 99 NATO agression and then again in Serbia in 2007 Tomislav Nikolić suggested the same (former president 2012-2017) who was a member of Serbian Radical Party back then, one year before he founded Serbian Progressive Party (now in power). Nikolić probably did it to attract some voters, since there were parliamentary elections in early 2007 and presidential in early 2008.
