I understand kozak is Czech for “cossack”.


What do the cossacks have to do with that area of South Bohemia? Any idea?

I have no idea. Eastern European history is a mess. :D I can’t find any info about the name of Kozácko. Maybe they named it like that, because they had too many goats there, since goat = koza in Czech. :D
