Meh, if the Serbi=Serbi theory is correct, we’d probably have to call them “double brothers” or something like that (i.e. both on Slavic and Sarmatian side; heck, considering they were called Triballi by the archaizing Byzantines, i.e. a Thracian/Moesian tribe, we might even have to call them “triple brothers” or simply “nashentsi”). Or if we want to be mean: “You’re late, the Sarmatian theory is already taken”. :tongue:

You know, when I was younger, I actually really thought that the name of the Serbs comes from сърбам, i.e. that annoying slurping noise some people make when drinking tea/coffee or eating hot soup. I still haven’t completely given up on that either…
