Russian salad is Russian, but it has lots of different names in different countries. In Russia it’s called “salad Olivier” (after the Belgian chef who created the original recipe for a restaurant in St. Petersburg, IIRC, though the current recipe has little in common with the old one’s ingredients), in Croatia it seems to be called “French salad” for some weird reason, West Slavs seem to call it “vegetable salad” or even “potato salad” for even weirder reasons etc. In some places they don’t put meat in it either.
