Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cosy, charming or special. Hygge (or to be “hyggeligt”) doesn’t require learning “how to”, adopting it as a lifestyle or buying anything. Hygge is cosy time with family and friends. Hygge is the meaning of life.
Someone should write a Slavic organizing or lifestyle book. I can’t find any. The Scandos are killing this market.
I just finished reading, The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning: How to Free Yourself and Your Family from a Lifetime of Clutter Hardcover – January 2, 2018
The Swedish Death Purge. Keep your stuff in order because if you die tomorrow? Do you really want your family to find your secret stash of weed or see your messy drawers, dirty laundry or unpaid bills??? Do you??? No, you do not want this. So you must purge every year.
I like this Irish chick because I’m always saying to people, “You need to get your shit together.”
Margareta Magnusson discusses death cleaning
If you don’t like the Scando approach to getting your shit together, there is always the Japanese approach.
Where is the Slavic Method for Getting Your Act Together? We should write this book, Slavs, and make millions, too! Slavs are missing out here!
