Srdeceleva has mentioned it before and I, as a Polish person, have to confirm: it’s quite rare for someone casually asked how are they doing to reply with ‘oh I’m great’, ‚I just got a raise’ or go into more depth and say something positive. Usually people complain about life being a struggle. I’m not trying to make us look like a nation of whiners, hell no! I just think that sometimes people don’t really wanna show off with their well-being. Kind of trying to say ‘I’m having a bad time and I bet you too therefore I’m with you bro’.
And honestly… I would place Poland a bit higher in this ranking.
btw I’m all for that idea of a book about Slavic life!
