@srdceleva in Serbian god is referred to as gospod as in lord, while gospodin usually means mister, but can be used same as gospod, although it’s rare. Interestingly gospodin, that is mister is rarely used here. I only see it in written form, I don’t remember last time I’ve heard it in everyday speech. I guess talking to someone in plural form (Vi instead of ti, Vy/ty, Sie/du) is seen as sufficient show of respect.
