I’d say some of the words are closer to Slovak than the words you presented, at least in the written form:
Sēdināja – siadzieć – sedieť
Zeme – ziamlia – zem (land), Zem (Earth)
Zvēri – zviary – zvery
Lēja – liej – lej
māte – maci – mater, matka, mama
spērējs – реrǫ, рьrаti – to strike, to hit.
Now that I’m reading this, I realized words prať (to wash), pereje (rapids), prah (treshold, doorstep) and Czech word prát (to fight) have the same root. Even Praha (Prague) is derived from the same root. And all the meanings of the derived words make sense to me.
