( Be warned , this is a small rant of mine, I'm upset  :'()

Yes, this is the day Croatia is supposed to officially become part of the EU. This is tragic IMO and I pray the Slovenes save us by bringing up something ( I don't care how stupid it is) to BLOCK our entry. EU is a mess, an artificial gray mass , and cares nothing for individuality or heritage of different member countries. Croatia already has a underbelly of bad finance and an economy that can go off a 'fiscal cliff' at the blink of an eye. Croatian politicians are also some of the most twisted and indecent human beings on the planet. They will borrow untold millions only to throw that cost not upon themselves but to future people in Croatia not even born yet. On top of that they will try to offload the costs to participating EU members already which will give us the reputation of Greece. If Croatia joins with it's own current array of slimy , oily , and filthy politicians leading then they will put Croatian independence in a coffin and we WILL be the next Greece. Croatian politicians are BAD and they will make us the next Greece. F*ck those arseholes. Please save us Slovenia or someone. My dream is that Poland ( good Slavic country, in fact all Slavic) jumped ship , said F' this and offered fellow Croatian Slavs an alternative. You guys don't understand , Croatia's politicians are the lowest of the low , the most disgusting bag of dog crap you've ever seen , they can't WAIT to get all that EU money and then proceed to sell away the country and its people. RIP Croatia , 1 July 2013  :(

I hope its good enough. I don't care what it is as long as it works to prevent Croatia's entry. Like I said , I don't care how valid or stupid the reason is for Slovenes blocking us , every time Slovenia brings up something against is I CHEER ! I'm so happy and I really hope whatever the Slovenes are doing works to keep us OUT. Those numbskull Croats that hate you guys should be thanking you guys because you are saving us from the destruction of our OWN politicians. The only reason Croatia isn't bankrupt yet is because there simply isn't quite enough money for our politicians to steal. If we join the EU we give those thieves a blank check that will be paid for by the labor of our people and the dignity of our country. All Croatian politicians are criminals to the highest degree , conservative or socialist , doesn't matter. I'm even counting on Serbs to rise up and try to convince the world we're Nazis again. I hope some important figures in the EU believe it and say NO to our EU entry. A handful of countries still need to ratify , hopefully they do not. Please don't give Croatian politicians that power , it will destroy us.

first of all, croatias politicians are a sample of population. the problem isnt in your political elite, problem is in wider masses.
secondly – eu isnt supposed to care about "heritage of a country". thats member states job. ofc it can take part in protecting ethnic heritage. which means heritage of all ethnic groups, not only those that constitute a state.
thirdly – why should croatia suddenly borrow more after entering eu? things will not change much. you will not be part of eurozone, so hardly any parallel with greece.

as soon as you become part of the schengen area, things will improve a lot. especially tourism.

to sum it up, you only fear of unknown. i recommend you to get some useful info about eu.
you can start for example here:

You clearly don't understand Croatian politicians. But that's ok. A huge segment of the wider population are euroskeptics but the politicians are the minority that push for EU membership because they expect to be wealthy from the deal. The only reason they are elected is because they promise extravagant government benefits they can't possibly cling to. They reassure the solvency of their plans by literally proposing that 'Europe will pay for it.' This is Greece 2.0, trust me. One of the first acts once Croatia is official member is to become Eurozone ( Croatian national bank is already owned by EU) and the conversion of currency. There will be a massive injection of Euros into the kleptocracy known as the Croatian government and we will begin that plunge down into oblivion. The EU is an insolvent entity and I don't see why Croatia has to go down with the ship. Tourism is fine in Croatia as it is , in fact , its gradually increasing revenue each year yielding a higher and higher portion of the GDP. When Croatia becomes insolvent and cannot turn a profit from the currency conversion then public assets ( which are a large part of the tourist industry) will be sold off as collateral to banks that can care less about Croatian history or heritage.

Nothing positive awaits 1 July 2013 and the segment of people that are pro-EU will be boarding the titanic but will only understand that when we slam into that ice burg. RIP Croatia.

    😮
eu is sinking ship? eu is insolvent?  ;D

eu and eurozone are 2 different things. if you think croatia will adopt euro right after entering eu then you have no idea about the process. there are certain conditions to be fulfilled. this alone may take years. moreover, eu (not just eurozone) members are pushed to legally limit budget deficit and public debt. slovakia already did so (and i hope we wont need to test its efficiency in real life).

    p. s. i wasnt talking about people being eurosceptic or whatnot. i just meant that political class cant be much more corrupt than those who elected them.

This i must totally agree. Ppl in Slovenia are so against politicians here but i see in real life they ain't much different. :D

Yes  ;D and i too love how people in slovakia cry and demonstrate against corrupt and stealing politicians, while theft, nepotism and bribery are rampant everywhere. sometimes i think 80% of slovakias population must be politicians.  ;D

so either lets steal and bribe and be silent, or elect somebody else, stop being corrupt and only then cry about corrupt politicians.

i would give u rep but the system doesnt allow it!

    (edited it lol)

Do individual Nations that are part of the EU get to dictate their own immigration policy within their boarders? With Croatia's small population then need to be concerned about being flooded with Africans and Muslims which will happen if they don't keep strict control of their immigration. They'll end up a rape capital like Sweden and Norway.

specific immigration policies are in competence of member states

I thought Croatia was already in the EU ??? :-
And besides you do realize most of what you said has already happened or is happening.

IMO even mighty Slovenia can't save you this time … The train is already running, Croatia is on it and it can't be stoped. We all gain some minor things with your entry (no lines on border crossings for the Croatian coast :D ) but in the end you guys will cry for the "good old times" when you weren't inn. At least we do. Even before our entry in the EU we were far from being selfificient but the entry + our genious politicians gave us the rest. And here we are today: on the edge of bankruptcy. – Hello Croatia! ;)

Doomsday…yeah, that's a pretty good description. EU is just a weapon of control…and it is being destroyed…by itself.
